miARTs Presents: DISRUPT the School to Prison Pipeline: From Conversation to Commitment 2021
During the pandemic, Mirror Image Arts reimagined our fall fundraising event by going virtual. We hosted a thoughtful, engaging, and educational online event called DISRUPT the School to Prison Pipeline: From Conversation to Commitment, in October of 2020.
Your response was overwhelming. So this year, Mirror Image Arts and The Casey Fund will co-host a panel of extraordinary youth, to discuss the impact the school-to-prison pipeline has had on them and the people they care about and ways for addressing it.
Your voice matters in this conversation. You, the online audience, are invited to interact with our youth panelist by asking them questions. Show up for our youth. Let them know their voices matter and learn more about the work of Mirror Image Arts, and enjoy a special performance by our resident playwright, Kenya Fashaw!
You are invited to demonstrate your commitment to young people. This event is FREE to attend, but we hope you will be motivated to donate to Mirror Image Arts to support our continued programming. The Casey Fund will generously match donations dollar-for-dollar up to $5,000.
