Our annual I Got Your Back Event will be held on September 10th, 2022. We are excited to host an immersive theatre event at The Savoy Denver. The Savoy is significant to our team as rehearsals regularly occur in this space. The building is operated and owned by Theatre Artibus, and one of MIA's teaching artists, Meghan, is a co-founder. The Savoy Denver is a beautiful and welcoming venue. We can't wait to share it with you. Wearing a mask will be optional for our guests.
The evening will include delicious libations and appetizers during our happy hour from 4-5 pm, an immersive theatre experience that will bring you, the audience, into the work of MIA, a chance to join our Giving Circle, and a silent auction filled with local products and one of a kind experiences. Connect with artists, philanthropists, and fellow disruptors as you enjoy music, stories from our program, sushi burritos from Motomaki, and dancing!
Proceeds support our mission to disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline through theatre and social-emotional programs for young people in schools, juvenile detention centers, and community centers.

Attire: Wear what makes you feel fabulous! Do you want to have fun with a splash of color? Here are our colors for this event. Wear them however you'd like: anything from sweatpants to prom dresses is encouraged!
COVID Precautions:
Please stay home if you have COVID or were exposed to COVID five days before our event. If you are not feeling well, please stay home. If you are not vaccinated, please wear a mask during the event. Masks are optional for vaccinated guests.

Parking: There is street parking and attendees may use the Volunteers of America parking lot located on 27th and Lawrence.
Rideshare (such as Lyft or Uber) is recommended, especially on the weekends.
Our Volunteers of America friends graciously allowed us to use their parking lot for I Got Your Back! Park your car at 2660 Larimer Street, Denver, CO 80205, and take a nice 4min walk to The Savoy. Look for the MIA signs!
There is no public transportation to and from the building directly.
The 27th St L line - (Welton Street light rail) drops you off about five blocks from the Savoy.
The 43 bus on Stout street (27th St stop) is about one block from the venue.
